The Basics of Jackrabbits:
What? Program that teaches kids the basics of cross-country skiing
Who? Kids aged 4-14 years
Where? Red Lake Recreation Center and Centennial Park
When? 1:15 to 3pm every Sunday from January to March (8 sessions)
How? Grab some skiis, come out and see if the kid(s) like it!

The Jackrabbits program is organized by volunteers and the parent of the participants. Remember to dress appropriatley for the weather conditions.

Goals of this program:
- Encourage FUN and participation for all ages of of children and all abilities
- Develop ABC’s - Agility, Balance, Coordination
- Good technique habits developed through repeated practice
- Utilize games and ski playgrounds to develop technique, skills and fitness
- Develop linear, lateral and multi directional skills
- Encourage social, skill and fitness-orientated ski activities
